The spire at St Mary's, Westwell

St Mary's, Westwell is a small Norman church which, like many, has been hotch-potch altered over the centuries in ways that shouldn't work, but almost always do... And which help make our parish churches the magic places that they almost always are.
However, time does its stuff (in this case timbers decay), so generations of churchwardens have to do theirs....
And put things right!
Here is the small, wooden shingle-clad spire being renewed during 2021.
